This Image's Creation Story:
I had climbed the Ship's Prow Buttress formation above Chasm Lake before sunrise, planning on an amazing panoramic view of the Diamond on Long's Peak. I was disappointed in what I was able to capture. My lens wasn't wide enough, and I was just too bloody close. But I turned to the east, and saw layer upon layer of mist obscuring the foothills. I zoomed in, and took three shots in a panoramic row. In this case, Estes Cone (lower left) and the rest of the foothills were more beautiful than Long's Peak.
