This Image's Creation Story:
Long’s Peak (14,256 feet) is the monarch of Northern Colorado. I raced the sun to the summit of nearby Storm Peak on a clear, cold, and still New Year’s Eve. Gasping in rarified air at over 13,000 feet, I saw the first hints of alpenglow on Storm Peak while still trudging across the expansive Boulderfield. Even though I was pushing as fast as I could go, I knew that it would take a miracle to get to the high vantage point that I had planned. I prayed that the Lord would get me to a place that would be sufficient. Five minutes after sunrise, I took this panorama, and give Him the glory.
